Today in class we answered the following Journal Entry:
Why do people choose to "put down roots" and settle? Do you like moving around?
We also discussed this video clip(click on the link) about Lance Armstrong for our Current Event.
Students filled out their Pre-History Notes from this Pre-History PowerPoint.
We ended class with an inference practice activity. Students analyzed the mysterious checks in class and tried to "infer" the story behind the checks. Click here for a link to the checks.
Homework:
1) Finish analyzing the checks and write your one paragraph interpretation of the checks.
2) Read another person's interpretation of the checks and compare that interpretation with your own paragraph. Answer the questions on the bottom of the page titled "Inference Activity." (The page titled "Inference Activity"is on the second page of your Pre-History Notes.)
