Journal Entry: Why might early civilizations develop around rivers that empty into the sea?

We checked out World History textbooks today.  See me if you still need a book!
We turned in our Inferences Activity homework (where you studied the checks).

We then split into groups and each group was assigned a different Mesopotamia box on this note sheet (click for the link). The groups read the section, prepared a poster and then presented.  Students took notes on the presentations to fill out the rest of the Mesopotamia boxes.

Homework (due next time):
You are to fill in boxes for the Egypt section on this note sheet (which was the one given in class).
          --If you have the blue World History textbook then the Egypt section begins on pg 35
          --If you have the orange/yellow World History textbook then the Egypt section begins on pg 33
(Hint: You not need to read every word in the chapter.  Follow the section headings and look for the information to answer your note sheet's questions.)
**There may or may not be an in-class quiz on this Egypt section so be prepared!!
