March 19th

Don't write anything in your Journal Entry or Current Event.

For 6th and 8th periods: we started class by reading about The History of Chocolate and filling in your Columbian Exchange Notes (received last class and found in the Americas tab at the top of the blog).

We then reviewed for the Americas test.  We turned in our Americas Class Notes Packet and took our Americas Test.

We peer-edited our essays on the explorers.  If you did not have your essay ready in class or were not in class, you will need to have someone you trust (parent/friend/teacher/sibling) read your essay and score you on the Explorers 5 Paragraph Essay Rubric (you need at least one peer edit).  Your job tonight is to take the suggestions made from the peer edit and improve your essay even more. Due next class: your first typed essay (technically your second draft) that was peer edited, the rubric used that was peer-edited and your final typed copy of your essay.

Homework:
-Using the suggestions given in your peer-edit, make improvements on your essay.  You will need to turn in a typed copy next class.
